The spokesman for Haftar's forces, Ahmed Al-Mismari, announced in a statement late on Saturday night that they have accepted the call for a ceasefire in Tripoili, ordering their fighters in the western region to cease military operations as of Sunday, January 12.

He said that their commitment to the ceasefire will require the obligation of the other party.

"The response will be harsh on any breach of this armistice," he said.

Haftar had announced his rejection to truce confirming that military operations will continue, but the Russian pressure had forced him to change his mind and agree.
