The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, discussed with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, in New York the latest developments in Libya and the need to remove all foreign fighters from the country to ensure Libya and neighboring countries' stability, in addition to holding elections on time.

Menfi hailed the important role of the UN Support Mission in Libya I'm assisting in making the political process successful to reach December 24 elections in good political and security environments.

He also applauded the UN role in supporting the political dialogue in Libya to help the country regain stability and achieve democracy.

Guterres welcomed the dialogue tracks Menfi is leading across all parties in Libya, reiterating the need to hold elections on schedule.
