Gunmen robbed  on Wednesday, a vehicle belonging to the Central Bank of Libya branch in the city of Sabha, while it was on its way to the Jumhouria Bank in downtown.

Director of Sabha security, Colonel, Hassan Al-Ayyat, said that armed men driving Hyundai Sonata car robbed the bank's vehicle this morning, and stole 700,000 Libyan dinars.

"The gunmen who did not attack the driver and his companions, fled the scene and an incident report was made at the police station located within the vicinity of the incident," he added.

Cities under the control  of warlord Khalifa Haftar’s militias, especially in Sabha, are witnessing a state of insecurity, high rates of robbery, theft, and extrajudicial killings.
