A number of members from Tobruk-based House of Representatives launched an initiative focused on four fundamental items to resolve the oil ports crisis.

The MPs called on the parallel National Oil Corporation (NOC) in eastern Libya to hand over the oil terminals to a unified national oil corporation with a new board to be based in Benghazi, with the continuation of the NOC from Tripoli.

The MPs also insisted on HoR appointments, especially with regard to the Central Bank, calling for a new government of national unity to be adopted by the HoR.

The initiative also pointed to the need to deal with high-level positions in one package, including the boards of the directors of investment, development, and oil institutions.
