The Government of National Unity (GNU) has given permission to supply and install 40 separate mobile power stations, providing a total capacity of 600 megawatts.
The official spokesman for the GNU, Mohamed Hammouda, stated in a press conference on Thursday, July 8, that the GNU also authorized extensive overhauls of the steam units at the dual power plant at Zawiya, North Benghazi, Brega, and Ras Lanuf, along with the implementation of the Derna emergency gas station in order to generate emergency electricity.
Technical support is also due to be provided to the General Administration of Production Projects in order to supervise Misrata and West Tripoli power projects.
