Libya and Malta have discussed the Electricity Interconnection Initiative to achieve the best investment in the renewable energy sources that Libya abounds in.

This came during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Energy and Environment in Malta, where the two parties stressed the importance of taking actual steps to make this initiative a success.

Th meeting included a working group from the Electricity Interconnection Committee of the Government of National Unity (GNU) headed by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Electricity and Renewable Energies, Osama Al-Darrat, with the Maltese Minister of Energy and Environment, Miriam Dalli, and a team of experts from the Maltese side, according to the Hakometna platform.
