The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla Al-Manqoush, said on Friday that the government is preparing for launching the second edition of Libya Stabilization Conference.

"Today we are closer to elections than ever before," Al-Manqoush tweeted, explaining that the Libya Stabilization Conference was the first building block for stability and prosperity after more than 10 years.

“Following the global success achieved by the conference, in which Libya confirmed that it owns and leads its affairs in the events related to its security, stability and sovereignty, some parties have tried to obstruct our efforts, but we will not pay any attention”, she added.

Last year, the capital, Tripoli, hosted the first conference on the stability of Libya, with the participation of 31 countries and international organizations, including the United Nations, the European Union, the Arab League, the African Union, neighboring countries, major countries, and others from the region.
