Spokesman for the Government of National Accord (GNA), Muhannad Younis, said that the Libyan Army Commander in Chief, Fayez Al-Sarraj, the General Staff, and the Ministry of Defence reject any calls for a cease-fire in Tripoli unless the invading forces withdraw and return to their bases in Rajma, east Libya.

"The government is closely monitoring the suspicious calls for a cease-fire launched by some who aim to strike the Libyan army forces on the frontlines from behind, GNA spokesman stated in a press conference.

He also confirmed that the Presidential Council had declared the state of general alarm, warning that anyone seeking to exploit the climate of security and freedom in the capital to influence the course of the military operations will suffer the consequences of such acts.
