Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez al-Sarraj, has asked Foreign Minister, Muhammad Siyala to initiate procedures for Libya's accession to a number of international agreements, according to the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Muhammad al-Qiblawi.

In a press statement, al-Qiblawi clarified that Libya shall endeavor to accede the Protection of Persons from Enforced Disappearance Convention, the Ottawa Mine Ban Treaty, and the optional protocol to the Convention against Torture.

Sarraj ordered the Foreign Ministry to fully coordinate in this regard with the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law established in 2019, according to al-Qiblawi.
