Inhabitants of the desert town of Ghat in southwestern Libya have protested in front of the "Tinalcom" crossing border with Algeria, demanding the Algerian authorities to open the borders for patients seeking medical treatment in Algerian hospitals.
The protest comes after health service in the town and in the south generally continued to deteriorate due to the unstable situation in the region.
The border has been closed for quite a while by a decision of the Algerian authorities.
