The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts organized a workshop on "The Future of Human Resources and Traditional Industries" in cooperation with the Gharyan Municipal Council and the Sigma Academy for Education, Training, and Human Resources Management.

The workshop hosted by the Faculty of Science at Gharyan University featured important scientific papers that dealt with the development of human resources and the future of traditional industries in the city of Gharyan.

It also highlighted the economic importance of traditional industries and the pottery industry between reality and expectations, besides the history of the pottery industry in Libya and North Africa in general.

The participants recommended the necessity for the state to formulate a strategic plan for developing micro and small enterprises, stressing the importance of the traditional industries in tackling the unemployment problem and creating job opportunities for youth.
