The German Foreign Ministry said that Berlin is interested in holding talks with Russia on the subject of ‘arms control’, particularly with regard to the present conflict in Libya, and eastern Ukraine.

A spokesman for the German Foreign Ministry said in a press conference on Sunday that his country is due to hold talks with Russia, which it hoped will be constructive and influential dialogue.

The German Foreign Ministry reported earlier, that Minister Heiko Maas was due to visit Russia on Tuesday, to hold talks with his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov on various issues, not least of which is the present crisis in Libya.
