The German company, Wintershall, has said it is studying - in consultation with its country's government -closing its office in Libya, due to the complexity of the security landscape in the country.

The company's management said the step comes despite the progress achieved in its work within Libya, confirming that the withdrawal process will not be easy.

The company has about $ 1 billion investments in Libya and is a co-managing partner of eight oil fields in the desert, in addition to AlJurf field.

Earlier, it announced that it had paid all its dues to the Libyan state institutions, including the fees for its oil activity.
