The German Federal Government spokesman, Stefan Seibert, announced that the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel will travel to Paris on November 12, at the invitation of the French President, Emmanuel Macron.

Seibert said in a statement that Merkel will co-chair the Libya conference, along with France, Italy, the United Nations, and Libya.

Seibert added that the conference would focus on supporting Libya on its journey to long-term stability, along with the presidential and parliamentary elections and the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces.
