The German Ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, has affirmed his country's continued support for the Libyan Presidential Council, praising its efforts in bringing the views of the parties to the political process closer and the steps it took in the national reconciliation project.

This came in a diplomatic message Unmacht conveyed to the member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, on Monday, according to the Presidential Council media office.

For his part, Al-Lafi praised Germany's efforts in bringing together the Libyan parties through Berlin conferences, stressing the council's continued work at all levels to achieve security, stability, and holding parliamentary and presidential elections to end all transitional stages.
