The General Staff of the Libya Army called for reviewing the possibility of declaring the city of Murzuq a disaster area.

In a letter to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the General Staff demanded to assign the Council of Ministers to study and assess the risks and human and material damage caused by the conflict in the town.

It also emphasized the need to take urgent and necessary actions, including allocating emergency financial resources to address the situation in this region.

"The declaration of Murzuq as a disaster area will facilitate exceptional procedures, such as the use of the emergency budget," the General Staff stated.
