Communications companies will depress prices of internet, General Authority for Communications and Informatics says.

Chairman of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, Sami Al-Fintazi issued a decision on Wednesday ordering its affiliated communications companies to lower internet access charges by 50% starting next March.

"The decision came after a series of meetings with specialists to examine the new measure and ensure that it does not harm the companies concerned, in addition, to render better services to customers at the lowest possible prices," Al-Fintazi says.
