The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has urged the government to work to provide fuel and operational requirements for the generation stations, in addition to the workers' salaries.

The company said in a statement that it had rung the alarm bells as it is standing helpless in front of the challenges encountering its work in light of the coronavirus epidemic scare.

The GECOL has said that it is working around the clock with all of its staff to ensure its continuing operations.
