The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) is reviewing an offer submitted by the Turkish "Kalyon Group", regarding implementing energy projects in Libya, by using solar power.

On its Facebook page, the GECOL indicated that a meeting took place on Sunday, with members of the board of directors of the Turkish firm, in the presence of the Presidential Council adviser for energy affairs.

It noted that there is also a deal on the table to provide natural gas supplies to some production stations.

Kalyon Group is considered one of the largest construction companies in Turkey, as it undertook work on several mega projects, including the new Istanbul Airport and Metrobus, as well as other projects in countries of Qatar, Iraq, Russia, the Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
