The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Sunday that two 11/30 kV transformers at the 220 kV substation in Ain Zara district were damaged as a result of the fire that broke out at the power station last Thursday.
GECOL added in a statement that the two new transformers have been installed, and operational testing work has already begun.
It also indicated that after the fire was extinguished, the Tripoli Electricity Distribution Department transferred the loads to other power stations and fed them from alternative sources.
