The Executive Director of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Ali Sassi, expressed his hope that Turkish companies will return to complete their suspended projects in Libya.

This came during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Ahmet Dugan, at the Turkish Embassy to congratulate him on the liberation of the Turkish workers at the Ubari power plant.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador clarified the point that there have been efforts in the past to secure the return of Turkish companies to complete their work in the near future. According to the Information Office of GECOL, the Turkish company ENKA Teknik has required the release of its kidnapped engineers for their return to complete the Ubari powers plant project, which has reached a 90% level of completion.
