The Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed with the Director General of the Energy Follow-up Department and the General Director of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), along with a number of other company officials a project for the production of 100 megawatts of solar energy.
During the meeting, the importance of the project was stressed, whilst potential problems and difficulties which must be overcome were also taken into account.
However, the importance and advantages of the project were foremost in the discussion.
Shakshak stressed the significance of the initiative and the need for similar projects, taking into account all legal and technical aspects, which ensure the success of the project as ‘model project’, setting an example for other similar projects and enterprises.
