A security official of the former Gaddafi's regime, AbuZayd Dorda was released Sunday, on the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Presidential Council's government, which provided for the release of a number of former security figures on medical grounds.

Dorda left immediately upon his release to the Tunisian territory, where he was received by the Libyan Consul Mohamed al-Mirdas, according to pictures circulated on social platforms.

In June 2018, the Director of the Office of Investigations of the Attorney-General, Siddiq Al-Sour announced a decision by the Ministry of Justice to release a number of senior Gaddafi regime officials.
