One person was killed and 14 others were injured when a fuel truck collided with a checkpoint in Kabaw town in Nafusa Mountain in western Libya.

Eyewitnesses said that the fuel truck intentionally targeted the checkpoint after trying to escape from being stopped.

Members of a civil movement in Kabaw - calling itself, "yes for change" and seeking to fight the scourge of fuel smuggling in the town, said that they had set up the checkpoint to protect the town, which is suffering from shortage of fuel due to the ongoing smuggling, in the complete absence of the Directorate of Security.
