Libya on Monday received a new batch of the Pfizer-Covid-19 vaccine, comprising one million and 178 thousand doses, with the support of the US government.

The shipment, which arrived at Mitiga Airport in Tripoli, was received by the Director of the National Center for Disease Control, Haider Al-Sayeh, and the US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, in addition to the UNICEF representative in Libya, Lana Al-Wareikat.

The vaccine batch will undergo analysis and the required procedures before its distribution to vaccination centers, NCDC quoted Al-Sayeh as saying.
