The French Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, has discussed with the Prime Minister selected by the east-based Parliament (HoR) Fathi Bashagha the latest developments in Libya.
According to the French embassy in Libya, the two parties agreed on the need to preserve the unity of Libya and hold simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections in all parts of the country.
They also stressed the importance of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement through the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee.
