The Department of Monitoring and Rapid Response of the National Center for Disease Control has warned of cases of Salmonella in children under six months of age.

The Department said in a statement on their official Facebook page that they had received a warning from the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN) that children in France had been affected by Salmonella as a result of ingesting milk products produced by French diary producer Lactalis.

The Libyan monitoring department reported that this type of milk is in fact distributed on the Libyan market, calling for any cases related to the bacteria to be reported.
