The French Ambassador to the United Nations, Francois Delattre, has called on all parties to the conflict in Libya to return to dialogue, in accordance with the Abu Dhabi meeting outcomes, which brought together Al-Sarraj and Khalifa Haftar.

In his speech before the Security Council on Friday, Delattre emphasized his country's support for the Tripoli-based government, pointing out that it had confirmed this in the recent meeting between French President Emmanuel Macaron and Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, during his visit to France.

He also stressed his government's rejection of the military solution, stressing that his country supports the efforts of UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame to find a peaceful settlement to the conflict.
