Member of the High Council of State from Misrata, Bel Qassim Qazit, said that they have received an invitation from the French Presidency to visit Paris in order to discuss the Paris initiative to resolve Libya’s crisis and the outstanding political files in the country.

In a press statement, Qazit said that among those invited were members of the gathering of Misrata MPs, in addition to a number of political and military figures in the city, indicating that discussions are still ongoing on whether to accept or reject the invitation.

Qazit pointed out that they as MPs from Misrata had refused to accept the invitation of the previous Paris meeting on Libya because they were given an observer status rather than being treated as key participants in the meeting.
