Former Tunisian president, Moncef Marzouki expressed his fears that Tripoli would be destroyed by Hafar after giving him the green light from some Arab countries to attack it.

Marzouki told Al Jazeera channel that the international community's decision is in the hands of the major powers, which all they want is to hegemony over the wealth of the Libyan people, stressing that Libyans must rely on themselves in the face of what he called the "axis of evil", led by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt.

"If Haftar takes over Tripoli, it would constitute a threat to Tunisia's national security and putt the current Algerian uprising at risk," Marzouki added.
