The Libyan Foreign Ministry has called on Libyan citizens travelling to or residing in Tunisia to report any harassment or negative behaviour they may face from any governmental, civil or security body in Tunisia, to the nearest police station.
The ministry demanded, in a circular, the citizens to file an incident report at the Tunisian police and to head to the nearest Libyan diplomatic mission in the capital or Sfax to follow up the incident with the Tunisian authorities.
The ministry noted that if for any reason it was not possible to inform the Tunisian authorities, the complainant should proceed to the Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Shatt Road in Tripoli upon their return to Libya.
