The Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Sayala has expressed his deep condolences to the families of the Bangladeshi migrants who were killed in a ‘revenge attack’ in Mizda town.

In a phone call with the Bangladeshi Ambassador to Libya, Sheikh Iskandar, Sayala added that this heinous crime would not be overlooked, stating that the Libyan Government was determined to bring the perpetrators to justice and have them face their just punishment.

30 migrants - 26 Bangladeshis and 4 of African nationalities - were killed and 11 others wounded in Mizda a ‘revenge attack’ by family members of a Libyan human smuggler who was killed by the migrants.
