Libya's chargé d'affaires in Egypt Tariq Al-Huweij said Egyptian authorities will ease travel restrictions to and from Libya.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry of the Government of National Accord (GNA) reported Al-Huweij as saying that the first step would be removing the security clearance for the children of Libyan women married to Egyptian men, who will also require no clearance.

The new measures will include lifting restrictions on Egyptian nationals who have valid residence permits in Libya and those who are part of family reunion programs.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry said Egypt is also considering allowing Libyans to obtain visas to Cairo from inside Libya whiteout the need to travel to another country to get it.
