Foreign Minister of Presidential Council, Mohamed Sayala, said that 30 embassies have resumed work from within Tripoli and are run by accredited ambassadors or chargé d'affaires after three years of working from outside Libya.

Sayala told Xinhua News Agency that his ministry is working on the return of all embassies and on providing proper security conditions to enable them from working within the capital Tripoli, noting that this will facilitate visa issuance for the Libyan citizens.

The Minister added that they are currently conducting contacts with the U.S. State Department in order to reopen the U.S. embassy in Libya.

He revealed that a high-level delegation from the U.S. State Department will visit Tripoli soon to examine the headquarters of the embassy in terms of the building and its location.
