Floating Dock “Gaza” Arrives in Al-Buri Field

The floating dock “Gaza” has arrived in its final location in Al-Bouri Offshore Field after a long journey, which started from the dockyard of STX South Korean company in Busan and ended in Al-Bouri Offshore Field in southwestern platform number (04), replacing the old one – Slooq.

The floating dock is considered one of the biggest ships in the world as it has a capacity of 1.5 million oil barrels and has cost almost half a billion US dollars. The tugboat company that tugged the floating dock was POSH Terasea supervised by STX Offshore & Shipbuilding for Mellitah Oil & Gas B.V Company, which is working for the owner – National Oil Corporation.
