The Benghazi Municipal Guard has warned fishermen from catching the poisonous fish known as the sea rabbit in the shores of the city.
A source from the Municipal Guard stated that a fisherman from Benghazi city found a large number of the poisonous fish in the beaches of Qaryounis district.
The Municipal Guard also sent a sample of the fish to the Food Control Center to examine and prepare a detailed report.
The sea rabbit is from the toxic species and can lead to death in a period of six to eight hours if not treated by specialists.
