The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has announced the arrival of the first and second gas turbines for the West Tripoli gas-fired power plant project, confirming that work will start on them directly upon their arrival at the project site.

The GECOL said on its Facebook page that the production capacity of the two turbines is estimated at 170 megawatts per one, expecting the third and fourth turbines to arrive in the middle of next month.

It also stated that the emergency project consists of four gas-fired turbines with a total installed capacity of 670 megawatts, and is implemented by Germany’s Siemens and Turkey's Enka.
