A mass fire broke out in the main warehouse of Tobruk Medical Center on Sunday, causing damage to a large stock of medicine and medical supplies.

No casualties were reported, but the Director of Tobruk Medical Center, Dr. Faraj Al-Jali confirmed the fire has caused great damage to the medical stocks stored at the warehouse.

He explained that initial inquiries show that a short circuit may have led to the disaster, noting that it took the Civil Defense teams, as well as the cooperation of the Arabian Gulf Oil Company, the Brega Company, and the Relief Department to control the blaze.

The media center of Tobruk Medical Center released pictures of the warehouse after firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control.
