A Bengali worker has sustained injuries after a fire broke out in a petrol station in Tajura district east of Tripoli, the Ambulance and Emergency Service said on Friday.
A loud blast shattered the quiet weekend's evening in the capital's eastern suburb, and dark smoke could be seen from a distance, eyewitnesses said.
Fire engines and ambulances rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control, but no statement was made about the cause of the blaze.
The officials assured that the incident caused no fatalities, and the injured worker is receiving treatment at the hospital.
