The Finance Minister, Faraj Boumtari, has accused the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) of deliberately delaying the approval of the draft budget of 2020, while it was submitted to the bank months ago.
Boumtari clarified in a statement that the draft budget was put forward on the 9th of October of last year to the cabinet of the Government of National Accord (GNA) for discussion.
"The GNA referred the draft to the relevant authorities in accordance with the political agreement, but the CBL is procrastinating its adoption," the finance minister added.
