The Deputy Minister of Health, Issa Omayani, has announced that Libya is close to providing treatment for cancer and tumors cases within its borders, with the opening of radiation treatment departments and supply of chemotherapy treatment for patients.

Omayani confirmed, in a statement issued by the media office of the Ministry, that bank credits would be opened to the National Institute of Oncology Therapy in Sabratha, in order to install radiotherapy devices within months.

He also revealed the Ministry's strategies for 2018, pointing to a 95% completion rate for the work of the committee charged with preparing the 2018 public tender for the provision of medicines and medical supplies.
