The Fezzan Municipal Council has expressed its rejection of the visit of the Minister of Health to the southern region, complaining about the minister's lack of cooperation with the mayors of the southern region and health facilities.
The council also complained about the minister’s failure to provide scorpion antivenom, which killed many children and adults in the area, in addition to the failure to equip the isolation centers, and to pay the salaries of medical personnel and health sector employees and the accumulated debts on projects in the sector in the region.
