Libyan businessman, Fathi A-Amin, has won the elections to head the board of directors of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Trade on Tuesday in the capital, Tripoli.

Al-Amin won 26 votes out of 34 given to four contenders, with Mohamed Al-Raed, the former president of the Federation, receiving only two votes.

The government is expected to issue a decision to approve the results of the elections for the presidency of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, in accordance with the recommendations of the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohammed Al-Hawij, who directly supervised the elections.
