The families of the victims of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) bombings, along with a specialized team of lawyers representing them, demanded that the British Home Secretary, Priti Patel should exert pressure on Libya to hand over former Gaddafi spy chief Abdullah Al-Senussi, currently imprisoned in Tripoli.

The Mail on Sunday newspaper reported that the families addressed Patel, saying that “the failure to bring any of the Gaddafi regime members to justice for their involvement in these abhorrent attacks, which killed and injured approximately 3,500 people in total, is a stain on Britain’s international reputation.”
