The European External Action Service (EEAS) has launched a call for tender to provide security services to the European Union Mission in Libya with an estimated contractual value of more than 20 million euros.

The EEAS required the contractor to provide the necessary human and material resources to ensure the security of people and assets, in addition to providing security guards and GPS/GPRS tracking systems for close protection.

The contracting authority of the European External Action Service is the diplomatic body of the European Union and includes a directorate on the Middle East and North Africa, as well as a directorate on human rights and global and multilateral issues.
