The European Parliament expressed its deep concern Friday, on the ongoing attacks of Haftar's militants on the south of Tripoli.
In a statement posted on its website, the parliament said that Haftar's recent threats regarding launching a widespread attack on Tripoli are a source of grave concern.
"Such an attack by Haftar will only lead to more suffering of Libyan civilians" the parliament stated.
It called on the European Union and the international community to condemn the threats of Haftar and take the necessary measures to prevent a bloodbath in Libya.
