The Italian news agency AKI reported that the President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, announced his intention to make a visit to Libya and Niger soon.

AKI quoted Tajani as saying that the migration flows from Libya need to stop and that is why he will be in Tripoli and then on to Niger in the next few days in an attempt to contribute to a European solution to the problem of migration.

In a press statement on the sidelines of the recent European Summit in Brussels, Tajani said he intended to visit Libya and Niger together with businessmen and directors of European companies to see how to set up economic programs to stop migration flows.
