The European Commission (EC) said it will provide 6 million euros to IDPs in Libya, as part of the humanitarian assistance program set by the commission about two years ago, which amounted to 15 million euros until now.

"The aid will allow the poorest segments of the population to access food, clean water, and basic health services," EC stated Wednesday.

It also noted that the support provided to Libya is also oriented towards humanitarian projects aimed to protect and provide psychological and moral support for civilians, according to the statement.
