The European Union Mission in Libya announced on Monday, the resumption of its work from its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, after two years of its departure.

The head of the European Union’s mission to Libya, José Sabadell, described in a tweet the reopening of the European mission in Tripoli as "huge progress."

“The mission will be able to work more directly and effectively with Libyan authorities, civil society, and partners”, Sabadell said, adding that “I am very excited to be there with my team on a permanent basis and looking forward to this new phase”.
