The Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to Libya, Jose Sabadell, has called on Libyans to exercise restraint given the fragile situation in Libya.

“We are following closely events all around Libya. They confirm people want Change through elections, and their voices should be heard. But protests must be carried out peacefully and avoid any type of violence”, Sabadell tweeted.

On Friday, demonstrators stormed the parliament headquarters in Tobruk, demanding the dissolution of all existing political bodies and the holding of elections.
